the short term. Cameco still hasn't put its hand around the problem at Cigar Lake expecting even more delays. This was very significant news where the investing public preceded to give an unanimous yawn.
It was only a couple years ago when this news would send the penny stocks soaring. There is something undefinable about short term movements which I cannot understand. But ultimately the need is not currently there!
Cameco has such potential but is having severe growing pains from leaks, floods, and shortages.
How can you not like this stock currently, we are buying a behemoth at discount.
I believe that a company like Total will probably buy CCJ. Why haven't they already? Because they are probably cheap.

Today is the Saddest Day of
the Jewish Calendar (but not Israeli since that would be the Day of Remembrance-Yom HaZicaron) and I log onto yahoo and see that Bernie Mac is dead. One ray of joy is lost. I enjoyed everything he was in, though I didn't see that swimming movie.
I didn't intend to open with Bernie Mac, but hence is life. I wanted to bring out a phrase from Ecclesiastes: "better to be in the house of mourning than the house of mirth."
As I sat next to a beautiful girl at the Jaffa gate, she told me that it appears I take nothing seriously. The truth is all my heroes growing up were comedians, but as I look back, more like anarchists that range from Bugs Bunny to George Carlin. My heroes were in the business to make you laugh: meaning I gave them money for jokes. If I truly wanted to emulate them I would view it as a business. And business is a serious act (like the saying "I mean business").
I think that sums up investing, speculating, and gambling. As long as there is appreciation and understanding your gambling, because you understand the gravity of the situation.
Bernie Mac pointed out the foibles of life through his teflon (not just for Reagan's sole use) personality, but in reality things happen that cannot be laughed away.
A fact that has taken me too long to realize, because I am still not sure if I understand it still.
Maybe that's why Israel's economy is doing well. This is one country that has no sense of humor. When I returned my car to the rental place, the manager had the sternest look I ever saw and when I saw his picture on the wall it was sterner. A joke that is misunderstood, and often is!, may be returned with a fist. There is a reality and tax system here that I just don't understand.
I know the picture of my grandfather I have on my wall is completely serious. Maybe there is something to the old trait of patience, appreciation, take nothing for granted, and 1+1=2.

IBI
This is the ultimate penny stock since it is in one overlooked country, Uganda. And has millions of dollars of investments being made into the land it has rights to explore.
At approximately 4mln mkt cap and in excess of 12mln in exploration leads me to think of the potential if something is actually found.
Please note these figures are off the top of my head.
For some odd reason I think IBI will be a 100mln market cap company.

Hey Eye Cheese
AIG reported 3 surprising bad quarters. What a shock. The stock isn't even at its 52 week low.
So I would assume there were more buyers than sellers keeping a bottom for this stock. Unlike Ambac, this is the largest insurer and has Mr. Greenberg as a shareholder. Unless he dumps (but where?) then I am going to follow the smart money. Of course he could be playing some financial shenanigans and be the one scooping up the possible new share issuance. If I remember correctly, he sold millions of shares at $55 so now he is getting it for half off.
I don't like catching falling knives but it helps thinking the knive is 24k gold.

Value Investing and Marriage
Traders are those famous Italian troubadours that write great poems about carpediem. Or "love 'em and leave 'em" in English parlance.
As for Investing when you have a good feeling you keep nibbling at that stock until it's a commitment! The choice is then if it's going to be a part of your life going forward "to death do us part" or until there's divorce and even that can be drawn out.
But remember in this marriage you don't have to buy a wedding ring, hopefully in separation all profits go to you, losses can be written off, and 50 year old divorcees can be quite attractive.
If girls were this easy.
